Frequently Asked Questions

The Dirty Truth

The Dirty Truth

Do you make sure my dogs don't get out of the yard?

Yes! Your pet’s safety is our priority. Before entering and leaving your yard, we carefully check gates to make sure they are secure. We take extra care during every visit to help keep your pets safe.

Do you send updates when you service my yard?

Yes! We believe communication is important. We send a message when we are on the way to your property and another message once your cleanup is complete, so you always know your service has been handled.

Is there an extra charge for the first cleanup?

No. We provide our normal pet waste removal services at our standard rates. There are no surprise startup fees.

How am I charged for service?

We do not require upfront payments. After services are completed, we send a bill for the previous month’s cleanups. We accept Venmo and other payment options.

What areas do you service?

Auburn Scoop Squad proudly serves Auburn, Opelika, and surrounding areas. If you are unsure whether your property is within our service area, contact us and we will be happy to help.

Who should hire a professional pet waste removal service?

Professional pet waste removal is perfect for busy families, pet owners with multiple dogs, homeowners who want a cleaner yard, families with children who play outside, and anyone who would rather spend their time enjoying their yard instead of cleaning it.

Am I required to sign a contract?

No! We do not require long-term contracts. You can start and stop service at any time. We believe great service is what keeps customers, not contracts.

Should I unlock my gate?

Yes. Please make sure your gate is unlocked on your scheduled service day. Our technicians are not allowed to climb or jump over fences. If needed, contact us and we can discuss options for your property.

Will I need to restrain my dog?

Only if your dog is aggressive or uncomfortable with visitors. We love pets and enjoy meeting our customers’ dogs, but safety for your pet, our team, and your property comes first.

Do you provide service year-round?

Yes! We provide pet waste removal services throughout the year. Weather conditions may occasionally affect scheduling, but we will communicate with you if any adjustments are needed.

What happens if I need to skip a service?

Please let us know as soon as possible if you need to skip a cleanup. We are happy to work with you and adjust your service schedule when needed.

What happens if I get another dog?

Congratulations on the new addition! For homes with up to five dogs, there is no additional charge. If you have more than five dogs, contact us for a customized quote.

What happens if I move?

If you move within our service area, contact us and we can help transfer your service to your new home.

Do you service apartments, HOAs, and commercial properties?

Yes! Auburn Scoop Squad provides recurring pet waste removal services for apartment communities, HOAs, property managers, and businesses throughout Auburn and Opelika.

Are you insured?

Yes. Auburn Scoop Squad is fully insured to provide professional pet waste removal services for residential and commercial customers.

The Dirty Truth

The Dirty Truth

The Dirty Truth

How much does a dog poop?

The amount varies depending on a dog’s size and diet, but the average dog produces several pounds of waste each week. Over time, that waste can quickly build up and become unpleasant for families and pets.

Is dog waste a fertilizer?

No. Dog waste is not a good fertilizer and can negatively impact your lawn and the environment. Unlike plant-eating animals, dogs have diets that make their waste unsuitable for use as fertilizer.

Why should dog waste be removed?

Pet waste left in yards can create unpleasant odors, attract pests, and contribute to bacteria and parasites that can affect pets and people. Regular removal helps keep your yard cleaner, healthier, and more enjoyable.

Why hire Auburn Scoop Squad?

Keeping up with pet waste can be time-consuming. Auburn Scoop Squad provides reliable scheduled cleanups so you can spend less time dealing with waste and more time enjoying your yard.
